Art Berger, 95 of Cottonwood, passed away on July 11, 2013 in Prescott Valley. He was born on May 24, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Sr. and Bettie Berger. Art served his country in the Army during WWII in Italy. Some of that time was spent on trains with large mules. After shipping to Italy the mules were dropped in favor of jeeps and trucks for the rest of the war. Art earned two battle stars during that time and was discharged as a Master Sergeant.
